Testarossa is located in the historic Novitiate Winery founded in 1888 in Los Gatos, CA. The original 19th Century gravity flow winery is still used today and is the 107th bonded winery, one of the oldest continuous operating wineries in the United States.  Owners Rob and Diana Jensen along with their winemaker Bill Brosseau have been making world-class wine for more than twenty years.  Testarossa has grown to national prominence among collectors and reviewers due to their long-term partnership with passionate wine growers and vineyards which give them access to the finest grapes in California’s premier Pinot Noir and Chardonnay regions.

Golden straw hue. Vibrant scents of lemon zest, tangerine, papaya, and banana. Lively flavors of bright lemon, banana, and custard make for a pleasing first taste. Well, balanced and multi-layered finish.

Pale straw color. Scents of green apple, custard, honey, butterscotch, and orange blossoms make for an engaging first impression. Vibrant flavors match the aroma profile and are lengthened by the slightest touch of oak spice. The wine finishes with nice acidity and a refreshing texture.

Pinot Noir, Cuvee Los Gatos, 2013

Medium red hue. Intense aromas of pomegranate, cranberry, and chokecherry overtake the nose of this youthful Pinot Noir. Showing vibrant flavors of pomegranate, cranberry, chokecherry, there are some citrus notes that linger in the flavor profile. The texture of this wine is quite pleasing with silky and polished tannins. The careful use of French oak is subtle and pleasing to the sophisticated palate while the acidity is brisk and refreshing.

Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands, 2013

Deep red color. Tightly woven nose yet releases hints of pomegranate, orange blossoms, red cherry, and vanilla bean. Flavors of cherry, pomegranate, and citrus persist deep into the palate. Very expansive mouth-feel with vibrant acidity and lush tannins. The wine finishes with a firm ending but should soften and lengthen over the coming years.
